What makes this little glass so special? It comes from Verrerie de Biot, a glassworks founded in the sunny south of France back in 1956 by Eloi Monod. They quickly became known for their incredibly distinctive "bubble" or "mottled" glass – that lovely texture you see here, created by intentionally trapping air in the molten glass. This technique, which made BIOT pieces so recognizable and loved throughout the mid to late 20th century, gives each glass its own unique character.
A few important drops…
Our antique and vintage pieces have a story to tell. They've been worn, loved, and perhaps even been part of special occasions and cherished memories. These beauties have lived a life! Therefore, please don't expect them to be in perfect, brand-new condition. In fact, if an antique or vintage item looks too perfect, it's a bit of a red flag! We embrace the imperfections and signs of age that add to their character and charm. We invest in high-quality, unedited product photos that accurately represent each item. If you feel that additional angles, macro shots, or images with different backgrounds would be helpful, please don't hesitate to contact us via the form below. We're happy to provide more photos and videos to ensure you're completely satisfied with what you see.
